Second volume of the Regestum Provinciæ Calaritanæ
Second volume of the Regestum Provinciæ Calaritanæ, following the division of the Province of Sardinia into the Calaritana Province and the Turritana Province

The Provincial Archive of the Capuchin Friars Minor, Province of Sardinia and Corsica, holds over 100 linear meters of documentation tracing the Capuchin presence in Sardinia and, since the end of the 20th century, in Corsica.

Their arrival in Sardinia in 1591 marks the beginning of this Franciscan reform's presence on the Island.

The friars, immediately welcomed and esteemed by the Sardinian people, gradually settled across the entire territory of Sardinia.

The portion surveyed to date (corresponding to just over half of the Archival Holdings) consists of 18 Fonds, 37 Series and 782 Archival Units. The archival survey is currently ongoing.
